DALI, SALVADOR (1014-1089)

I did this illustration of the Spanish surrealist artist Salvador Dali  and put one of his flexable clocks ( see the “persistence of memory” painted in 1931)on his arm while holding his traditional cane in the other. One of his noted sayings is ,”intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings”.He married Gala, a Russian immigrant ten years older that himself. Pablo Picasso the painter and  Fredrico Garcia Lorca the poet were numbered among his friends.The Spanish King was at his bedside when he died of heart failure at the age of 84SALVADOR DALI.
